Failed Hard Cut

Kunstharz, Haare, Blut, Spiegel · 2018–2021

A head with a Buddha's curled hair, cast in translucent resin with blue-grey and white patches, hangs from a hook above a round steel mirror on an extendable scissor arm, against a white wall.

Failed when there was intention.

Without intention something ocurred.

The resin head hangs high on a white wall; below it a round mirror on a thin stand shows the head and a crack of light across its glass.

Looking down at the setup: the resin head, its curls crusted white and blue-grey, hangs above a round mirror in which the hollow underside of the head is reflected, with dark spots inside.
